Rig-Buying Consideration #10 — Maintenance

RV Blog -- Buying Maintenancerepairs (since my Airstream doesn’t have an engine, I have way fewer mechanical issues to deal with in the first place — my truck motor is much less complicated than the huge semi motors they put in these big rigs — but even if my F250 does have to go into the shop, so what? — I just unhitch it, take it in for repair, and there is no disruption to my living environment — but when you full-time in a motorhome and the engine part needs mechanical attention, your whole house has to go into the shop — do you just live in the garage the whole time? or have to get a hotel? — and good luck finding an RV repair shop in the middle of nowhere — anyone in any town can fix a regular old Ford truck)
