Raw Essene Bread
Ingredients
- 2 cups soaked grains (oats, millet, quinoa, bulgur, barley, etc.)
- 1 cup grated sweet potato or yam
- 1/2 cup chopped apple
- 1/4 cup golden raisins
- 1/4 cup sunflower seeds
- 2 Tbsp sweet seasoning (ground cinnamon, ground cloves, allspice, etc.)
Instructions
- puree all the ingredients in a food processor
- shape into 3/4-inch round loaves and place on a teflex sheet in a dehydrator
- dehydrate until the top crust is dry, about 8-10 hours
- remove the teflex sheet, flip, and dehydrate until dry, another 8-10 hours
Options
- substitute 1/2 cup diced tomato and 2 Tbsp dried sweet basil or dried rosemary for fruit and sweet seasonings
- substitute carrot or winter squash (butternut, acorn, pumpkin, etc.) for the sweet potato
