Putting together a magazine/newspaper story or TV/radio/web segment? Struggling to find interesting interview subjects? Folks who have something new and different to say? Who’ll captivate your audience and send your readership/viewership through the roof?
More importantly, are you okay with an interview subject who’s quick-on-her-feet-thinking and articulate — bubbly and effervescent and gregarious-to-a-fault — raw and real and almost painfully authentic?
Who’s refreshingly (in these times of folks being overly-careful what they say) lacking in self-censorship (but totally okay with you editing her commentary to suit your audience)? Who’s literally overflowing with fun facts, interesting anecdotes, and pretty-damn-cool insights about the state of our modern world? Who sprinkles her storytelling with interesting-word-usements and entertaining bits of profanity, the way a fine chef would use his best seasonings — and guarantees to have you spitting-milk-out-your-nose-laughing before the end the of the interview?
Well here I am — fallen right into your lap, you lucky dog, you!
As a holy-cow-it’s-been-more-than-twenty-years veteran professional-organizer-simplicity-coach-and-accountability-guru, successful-several-times-over entrepreneur, didn’t-wait-for-retirement-to-live-the-good-life-on-the-road full-time RVer, intentional-and-rather-vociferous-about-her-decision-not-to-breed no-kidder, world traveler, writer, artist, speaker, and all-around Renaissance woman — I’m a walking one-stop-shop for all your interviewing needs.
I know my stuff like that one funny-shaped freckle just-above-and-to-the-left-of my elbow-pit (which I end up looking at far more than the back of my hand). I’m prepared to talk off-the-cuff on any number of subjects:
You were supposed to have turned in your story yesterday? Zero perspiration. You don’t have time to get on the phone, and prefer to conduct our interview via e-mail? No problemo. You want someone who can come up with a list of thoughtful, probing questions for you — then provide a detailed answer for each? Gotcha covered. You need photos to go with the words? Outstanding. Looking for someone who can refer you to at least three other interview subjects AND write a thousand-word essay that can be published alongside your article. I’m your freaking gal!
I am truly a full-service media goldmine! Freelance writers know that I can provide them with tons of quality content on very short notice — always a good thing for folks on a deadline! I’m happy to offer a list of potential interview questions (if it’s a topic with which you could use a little help), share my photography (if you need images for your piece), and point you toward other potential resources (my network is both deep and wide).
I’m good with an ensemble piece, being the center of attention, or even contributing my own content. I’ve been featured in both local and national media — no outlet is so big as to scare me away, or too small to be worth my time for a quick chat. Most importantly, I tell it like it is — honest, authentic, and often more than a tad profane with my language. (Y’all journalism types are always welcome to edit/censor my commentary for family consumption — I promise I won’t be offended!)
Whether you’re looking for story ideas, entertaining anecdotes, philosophical musings, helpful product reviews, or practical tips that readers/viewers can put to use in their own lives — you’ve come to the right place. If you want the coolest content in town, gimme a holler and I’ll be happy to help out!
